Latest information:

Of the initial 7 American Recovery and Reinvestment projects, 3 projects are nearing construction completion (Rocky Hill - Old Main Street, Windsor - Day Hill Road, South Windsor - Buckland Road) and 1 project in the town of Manchester has been awarded to a contractor. Construction plans and specifications for the remaining 3 projects in the towns of East Hartford, Hartford and Canton are complete, the projects have been advertised and construction is expected to begin this summer.

Early advertising of a few of our ARRA projects in combination with the favorable bidding climate has allowed CRCOG to program additional ARRA funds to a construction project in the town of Enfield (previously funded with STP-Urban monies). All of CRCOG’s $17.6 million allotment was obligated late in February 2010 which is just over the one-year mark from when President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
