Data Center
CRCOG maintains a data center that includes information and reports on the Capitol Region, the Region's member municipalities, the State of Connecticut and other geographic areas. CRCOG staff is available to help municipal officials identify data sources that will be useful for grant applications and local planning activities. CRCOG is also an Affiliate Agency of the U.S. Census Bureau. In this role, CRCOG receives and maintains most data released by the Bureau and assists in review activities associated with the decennial Census.


TRENDS SHAPING OUR REGION: A Census Data Profile of Connecticut's Capitol Region
This publication discusses some of the major trends and characteristics shaping the Capitol Region. The data presented in this report is drawn largely from the 2000 U.S. Census, and previous Censuses.  The report analyzes important demographic features of our Region, how some factors vary from town to town, and how the Region has changed over the last several decades.  By observing and seeking to understand these trends, we can better build on our strengths, and reshape the trends that threaten our economic vitality and quality of life.  We can use this and other data to identify challenges, set goals to address these challenges, and mark progress toward success.
