Building on the enterprising success of CRCOG's Natural Gas Pilot Initiative, the now permanent program stands as the largest municipal aggregation of its kind in Connecticut, with more than 30 members. To date, the Consortium's participants have registered substantial savings over comparable utility rates by contracting with a marketer (30 cents per ccf savings versus utility rates), and are eligible to take advantage of related energy management programs.
