Rocky Hill Town Hall

Council Chambers

761 Old Main Street

Project Overview:

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG), the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) and the Town of Rocky Hill have initiated a study to address transportation deficiencies along the Route 3 corridor in the Town of Rocky Hill.  The primary road segments included in the study area are Route 3 south of Route 160 (New Britain Avenue), West Street including its interchange with I-91 (Interchange 23), and Brook Street in Rocky Hill.

The purpose of the study is to ensure safe and efficient operations of vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists within the study area.  A comprehensive review of the existing transportation system under existing and projected future traffic loadings has been completed.  Under the guidance of a Technical Review/Steering Committee, preliminary transportation plans are being prepared.  These concepts will be discussed at upcoming public, business, and stakeholder meetings.  Comments received during these meetings will help refine the concepts.

Tighe & Bond, Inc. is the lead consultant for the study.

For more information please feel free to contact Robert Aloise, Project Manager, by email or at (860) 522-2217, ext. 214.  This page will continue to be updated with study information, findings, and meeting announcements as the study progresses.
